Dual nationals can also apply online but they have to surrender nationalities other than Pakistani. Candidates having intermediate or graduation degree are eligible to apply. This is a great opportunity for Pakistani nationals to join Pak Army after intermediate, minimum marks required for intermediate is 55% while graduates (2 years) and serving in Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force can apply. Graduates with 4 year duration can also apply and serving soldiers from Pakistan Army can also apply for PMA Long Course 149.

Selected candidates will go through an intensive 2 years training at Pakistan Military Academy. It is a Pakistan Army Officers Training Academy located near Kakul village in Abbottabad. Requirements to Apply:

Following are the general PMA Long Course Requirements to be eligible for initial application,

• Interested candidates must Pakistani citizens and domicile holders of Azad Kashmir/ Gilgit-Baltistan.
• Dual Nationals can also apply for PMA Regular commission long course 149 but Upon final selection, candidates with dual nationality will have to surrender nationalities other than Pakistani.
• Only unmarried males can apply for PMA Long Course
• Age limit of 17 to 24 years
• Minimum intermediate (60% marks) qualification is required
• Minimum Height required is 5’4” (162.5 cm)
• Weight should be as per Body Mass Index

Age Limit

Following are the age limits to Join Pak Army through PMA Long Course 149 for the year 2021,

• Age limit for Intermediate Candidates are 17-22 year with three months both in upper and lower age limits
• for 2 year Bachelor 17-23 year with three months both in upper and lower age limits
• For 4-year degree holders, the age limit is 17-24 years. (no age relaxation)
• Serving Army Soldier’s age limit is 17-25 years (no age relaxation)

Applying and Selection Procedure/Process to Join Pak Army for PMA LC:

Following are procedure/process for the Pakistan Military Academy LC 149

Step 1. Registrations

Candidates have to online registration through joinpakarmy.gov.pk or Register at Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCs)

Step 2. Initial Test

Initial/ Entrance Test at Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (Intelligence Test, Verbal, Non-Verbal and Academic Test (Mathematics, English Physics, etc.)

Step 3. PhysicalTest

Selected candidates from initial test will go through physical test which includes Running, Push ups, Sit ups and Chin ups.

Step 4. Initial Medical

Selected candidates from initial test will go through initial medical.

Step 5 Interview

After clearing the medical candidates will be called up for interviews.

Step 6. ISSB call letter

Successful candidates from interviews will be given ISSB call letter physical and mental tests.

Step 7. Final Medical

Recommended candidates will be considered for final selection after final medical Examination at the nearest CMH.
